TB: Who influenced you musically?
JR: Umm people like Jackie Wilson, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye etc. Basically people who have you a performance in stage.
TB: Who signed you to Uptown Records?
JR: Andre Harrell did. I was performing around New York City for about a year trying to get a deal. Went to many record companies and they said "We'll call you back". So I kept doing shows. One night, Andre Harrell came to my performance at a place called the The Palace in New Rochelle..and Andre came backstage and signed me to the Uptown family.
TB: Do you still keep in touch with Andre?
JR: YEAH, I talked to Andre about a month or two ago..
TB: Did you go to the lavish secluded party in Morocco with him & Puff Daddy?
JR: (laughs) nah nah, I'm working man lol
TB: Do you still sing on records?I
JR: I do here and there. I'm actually trying to get back in the studio but I don't have any time right now. As of now I'm working on putting out the Field Mob record right now and I'm also in the studio with Jodeci.
TB: When is the Jodeci coming out? ( this was in 2001)
JR: When we finish ( we both laugh. Unfortunately the Jodec I album never came out and Jodeci out out a record almost a decade after this interview)

Black N Wild album review:
1. "Destiny"- is a smooth melodic jam that would be a perfect track for Dru Hill. Definitely a song for that special lady you dream of or think about..Looking for a girl just like you.
2. "Nobody Else"- There can be nobody but you to call my own. Let's forget the others and let it be just you and me. The tempo on this song is slicker than grease and ice combined.
3. "Body Parts" - this is remastered version of the original I've heard in my vault. The song ended up on as a Jodeci song on their 4th album..
Other songs on this untitled album..
